elsewhere
Here are some links to things I’ve written elsewhere (in between drafting and not-publishing an actual post here on Tumblr about Gauntlet Hair and the Cocteau Twins and this one noisy radiator in my old apartment):
- A short piece for the magazine about why I imagine people were rather invested in Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore’s relationship.
- A longer piece for the magazine about Wilco, Feist, and the number of people who are, fair or not, sort of categorically bored with acts like Wilco and Feist.
- And an email interview with NPR Music where they ask me about the previous piece, and somehow we wind up talking about what I wanted to listen to in 2003.
Next week we get to discuss Lou Reed and Metallica more, don’t we. I know you’re super-excited.

Did you read Carl Wilson’s article about Wilco and Feist for The Toronto Standard? It was very similar.

I would say gauntlet hair was the worst band I saw at cmj, but I had the misfortune of catching Purity Ring too
